Fad Diets….Beware

A fad diet is a diet that promises quick weight loss through what is usually an unhealthy and unbalanced diet.  Fad diets are targeted at people who want to lose weight quickly without exercise.  Some fad diets claim that they make you lose fat, but it’s really majority water weight you’re losing and the weight can come back just as quickly as it left.  The reality is this, there are numerous diet techniques out there.  The best diet for you, is the one that you are going to stick to.  Making healthy eating a part of your forever lifestyle rather than a quick short term fix.  I say all the time, you are your own science experiment.  Try different things.  Try intermittent fasting, try keto, try carnivore, try vegan, and try eating every 2-3 hours, see which technique garners the best results for you.  We are all different, no two people are going to respond exactly the same to a way of eating.  Do what is best for you, but most importantly, do what you can sustain.  It will make for a much more enjoyable process.
